Until now only police officers and a few carefully selected people (such as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle) were able to see items from Scotland Yards 'Black Museum.
But from the 9th October this year to the 10th April 2015 selected items will be on display at the Museum of London.

I might pop along for another look.
I visited the Black Museum several times when I worked for the Met.

On one visit the curator was explaining the crimes of Dennis Nilsen as two young ladies sat on the edge of a bath tub listening intently.
 One asked 'A bath tub like this one?'
 He replied 'Not LIKE that one, that IS the bath.'

One of the young ladies threw up on the floor there and then.

It's not for the squeamish.
Many of the things have not been cleaned at all.
