It now has better* lights.

*read as: the lights have been replaced so they actually work all the time now, not just when they feel like it.

Also realized I've never done proper photos of the peripherals so here goes:

The desk top

Under the screens.

Yes I re-did the clock face, mainly to get rid of the "Quartz, made in West Germany" but partly to but that quote on.

Outstanding! Just how many hours of work has gone into that? Actually, it doesn't matter; however many it was, it was well worth it!

Yours,
Miranda.

Yes, it's coming on well, and I like the look of your desk accessories- is it always that tidy?  Smiley

Keep it up!

I love the combination of metal switches and polished wood. Well done.  Inspiring me to get on with mine.

My printer is too, it sits at the side (you can just see the edge of it in one of the pics) it's still a boring grey plastic box. Not sure what to do with it tbh.

Your machine is quite inspirational. The webcam is simply brilliant. How tall does that case stand with the gearbox on top? It looks absolutely massive.

You have set the bar quite high, do share when you start to modify the printer!

The case with the box on top stands about 1inch below the top of the desk.

When I decide what to do with the printer I will start a thread for it at the moment I am thinking about making it look like a teletype printer using old typewriter parts

Dear Sir,

Make your printer work and look like that, and I will come and work for you.

Whether you want me to or not...!   Grin

I won't be able to make it work like a teletype printer (mainly because I want colour and photo printing). But I don't see any reason I couldn't fit a normal printer inside a housing that looked like a teletype printer. I am currently recruiting for my evil army so your contribution would be much welcomed!

Now I'm looking at my printer and trying to picture it in, say, two-tone walnut.
