Just thought I'd post again since I've updated my avatar.

It's now a cropped photo of myself taken at the National Trust property I volunteer at a couple of weeks ago when I decided to wear my tweed jacket.

Linky to the fully pic for those interested:

Oh, and if anyone fancies visiting, I highly recommend it.

Surely the majority of the readers will recognise Charles Muntz from Pixar's "Up".  His adventurous lifestyle allows me to live vicariously through his character's life.

my avatar is an image I took of a praying mantis, cricket, and dragonfly I folded out of copper flashing, placed on a burgundy curtain spread on a miniature billiards table I was turning into a coffee table.

I've done a fair bit of papercraft over the years and got the idea to see if I could translate some of it over to metal foils. They sold reasonably well at my table at a convention. It's significantly harder to sell them on the internet. I generally charged 7-12 dollars, but packaging and shipping would easily double that cost.

I've been thinking of changing it lately, But I've got to figure out what to change it into.

Currently (2016), me, about 3 or 4 years ago, on the shore of Okanagan Lake, British Columbia, taken by my wife Myranda. I might change it if I find a better photo.....

Me on a good day! Grin

OK, so in reality it's a facial reconstruction of an early hominid from way down the evolutionary tree.  Some would say my above comment is still valid however... Wink
