the 'grip' looks to be from a broomhandle Mauser, Hope you didn't attack an original 1800's automatic pistol to make it?

The original Han Solo Blaster was based in the broomhandle Mauser:


The prop gun has frequently been reproduced as prop replicas or toys; it is not a great stretch to believe that someone would canibalize one of those toys to build a steampunk ray gun.

I like the aged photos.  I think that the gun was once (or will be depending on where one is in a time line) the property of a foot ball player named "Flash Gordon"!  Wink
