A steampunk event in Germany:
Aethercircus - Steampunk Festival

Date: May 3rd to May 4th 2014
Location: the historical Fortress "Grauer Ort" near Stade (Lower Saxony), about 1 hour from Hamburg by car.

At the Aethercircus Festival/convention, there will be live music, a dancing show, readings, workshops, a Steampunk art exhibition, an exhibition of Steampunk objects, a Steampunk craftwork market, an outfit competition, a fashion show, a lecture about Steampunk, pen & paper roleplaying, guided tours through the fortress, program for children and more.
At the last Aethercircus, there were lots of visitors dressed up to the (steampunk) nines with many goggles, gears and interesting gadgets.

Of course, there are also beverages and food at the festival. It is possible to camp near the fortress (please ask for this in advance if you would like to camp) or stay at a youth hostel nearby in Stade (there is a limited number of tickets for the festival entrance combined with youth hostel accomodation).

If you have any question about the festival, please contact Birgit of the Aethercircus team: info(at)steampunkfestival.de

general information about the festival (sorry, only in German):
