Ah , good then, I'm in enough trouble as it is without being debt to Satan too , and Von Corax still hasn't thanked me for posting that song about his country.  Angry'

In the meantime... Cheesy

And if that doesn't tickle you pink there's always this one too..

Any one else had a song in their head they eventually managed to track down ?

A terrible cover of a classic song , and one you probably haven't heard off , and won't want to hear again for too long.

What happens when you mix the NSA , Sarah Brightman, Sisters of Mercy ( ok part of them ) and pvc ?

Well, I'll tell you later and in the meantime here's annoying song I remember too well from my side of the world. ( Maybe Mr Bailey can appreciate the banjo playing ) ?

Well its so bad it wont let me show it , so instead I'll show you something from our neighbors instead

bloody trolls !

So here's that  song I promised, that while not terrible, is bit a of anomaly where Sarah Brightman is concerned . Look out for the interesting visuals including Miss Brightman flanked by two great Danes , security cameras and Andrew Eldrichts guest appearance. ( I would love to see someone do a spoof this , " How can the NSA love me ? " )

And if that doesn't work you , here's another old classic.

I actually remember Comanchero from from my commercial art days (oh, callow youth!). I mentioned to someone that I actually liked the song Conquistador, By Procul Harum,
http://youtu.be/fHpgFbuo7IY

...and a friend at the time said, "Oh? Well, listen to this!" And played Comanchero for me from an audio cassette on his Walkman.

I thought it was great for about a day, I recall...

Well, it was before my time unfortunately, I grew up in 80s with synths and MTV sort of ( MTV came later for me more in the early 90s )  so a lot of stuff I liked tended to be influenced by that - until the internet came along and blew my mind in 96.

I still actually still like that song , but that's me , I'm more than little sick of pretentious musicians who take themselves too seriously these days , esp when they have nothing serious or worthwhile to say.

I do remember walkmans though of course and still have my first mp3 player ( zen touch micro ) from 2002 - 3 ?? which was far more portable and better IMO than the Ipod . Don't know about now , but creative used to be good.

bah

Sometimes the song isn't really bad, but placed in a different context with a change of video you get stuff like this..

Star Trek + Nine Inch Nails = Closer

yeah that ones quite well known, there are quite variations of what you could call bad , sometimes it can just be the lyrics and style its done it too.

Here's another variation on the same song. (Embedding disabled, limit reached)

I'm not really a connoisseur of bad songs, but I do have this. I grew in that era, but this just makes me hate the 70's.

I don't think either of these could qualify as bad  , they were classic big hits in an era when being a hit meant something .  Its not my thing either really but you definitely cant objectively say it was bad , I mean if we're posting hits we think are bad then your sort of missing the point , think cults film , which  bombed but gained notoriety and a following over time and you will be closer to the mark.

I don't want to hurt anyones feeling so the golden rule basically is that these songs we post here are unpopular , misses , ignored ,overlooked at the time or simply unheard of, and that under different light ( here and now )  may  not actually be bad at all  given their quirks & eccentricities ( even if some of them were normal back then )

What you did was basically then chaps was the opposite and took something that was already a hit and said blah , no harm done , just saying in case any one else ain't sure and gets the wrong idea . Wink

Well in my defense, I don't think that song ever made it over to the US. Also, yeah my clip may have been decent technically, but those lyrics? Yikes!

Oh I dunno, the first video was pretty awful, but to me that song falls into the 'cheesy fun' category rather than outright bad. To me Bad means its just uncomfortable or embarassing to listen to.

Doe these  well buried treasures fit  your "unpopular , misses , ignored ,overlooked at the time or simply unheard of, and that under different light ( here and now )  may  not actually be bad at all  given their quirks & eccentricities ( even if some of them were normal back then )"

other than  they could well still be judged pretty bad
