I tried yesterday to join up to Facebook so I could post comments to the West Midlands Stempunk Assembly page, but the thing is completely messed up for me. Yesterday it refused to allow me to conform my account via the sent e-mail, but it did allow me joint the group (thanks for approving me, Kevin) to post comments. Today though, it will not let me do anything, including delete the account, and the posts I put up yesterday have disappeared. I knew there was a good reason why I'd been avoiding it...

Anyway, I specifically wanted to offer help for the Stourport event being held next May. We could bring along some outfits for display as we did for the 'Nibble for Nepal' event, contribute to the teapot racing and we might even take a stall (Steampunk inspired cakes and jewelry as made by my daughter). Anyway, if anyone associated with that event reads this form, the offers are there!

Yours,
Miranda.

The biggest problem with Facebook is that inherently it's rubbish. Many functions, well, don't function correctly, it's continually beset by glitches and they iether don't care or have no idea what they're doing.
I'll pass on the info,

Wasteofspacebook has all the hallmarks of being a service that sets out to be the best, right up until the point that the last of its serious competition dies out.  Then funnily enough the service slips and keeps on slipping.  I always imagine Mark Zuckerburg (sp?) as being some kind of Reacher Gilt-type character.

Looks like it's going to be Sunday for us for Steampunks in Space as there is no way we're going to be ready for Saturday. I hope despite this we'll see a few people there,

Yours,
Miranda.

Indeed - the entire weekend was brilliant; although now my feet hurt. Splendid to see you all (sorry to anyone I didn't get to say hello to - recruting for the M.E.F. was a bit hectic).

Aubreay - looking forward to seeing your pictures - I'm only sorry I didn't get the chance to moon for you.

It was wonderful to see everybody (including Cloudwolf - hadn't heard from them in ages). But... why do we have to go back to reality  Huh

As mentioned we'll most likely be at the in-laws' (or travelling back therefrom) then, but here's wishing everyone a fine day out.
