Come and gather for we have many ideas to discuss! there's many events we can lookforward to aswell, Brisbane holds many things of our particular and bizzare interests. For example a fencing night to hone our good sportsmanship, perhaps a cruise down the brisbane river on the lovely paddle boat 'Kookoburra Queen'. and how could I go past a STEAM TRAIN RIDE! usualy every first sunday of the month. Oh and I nearly forgot to mention 'Aladdins antique fair' http:/users.bigpond.net.au/aladdins/
So perhaps another evening at Tinkering Jack's Workshop and Quarters this up and coming week would be good, see where people are at for event ideas. . .

Oh and Vincent Theiere I do believe you have some information for our 'goth' party invasion as airpirates night?

Yes, I've been thinking of one of those train rides for a while.  There were a couple organised to work in with the Carnival of Flowers which would've been just devine.
Aladdin's looks great, and so close I can lug home big things, very dangerous.

That's the ball.  Not too sure if I'm fussed on it though.  Any excuse to dress as a band of Sky Pirates is welcome, but $35 is a bit steep.  Mind you, Devotchkin are pretty damn sweet!
A trip to the Workshop and Quarters would be most welcome, and shape the Theiere Junkyard into something visitable in time for our next gathering.

If there are any in the more southern areas of Australia, (Victoria), a friend has proposed to me the idea of an Alternate Reality tv show, with asteam punk theme. It's in its most earliest stages, we will be developing the concept before we officially release info and ask for help, but if anyone does prop work etc. and is interested (or has done it before) feel free to let us know.

You were missed at the "goth" party, to be sure.. I played lots of steampunk and had a few young souls exclaiming WHAT the DEVIL was THAAT?!!!

Don't worry, I enlightened them! Perhaps its us GOTHS that will be invading YOU next time, eh??  Don't worry, I will make sure they are all beautifully dressed and well behaved.  Grin

Hi hi hi there...are there any Brisburgians left on this forum?

I am but new to the city, and will be attending the next Prometheus Bound gathering, but am rather eager for some other adventure before then.

High tea, anyone? A stroll in the park, perhaps, or a tour of the local junk and op-shops before a tinkering-session with what we find?

Redmund, I currently expect to be in Melbourne starting early next year, and would be glad to be aboard the effort you describe. Any luck thus far?

The possibilities each day holds are infinite, mindboggling. The right person, with the right idea, at the right place, the right time, can change history. There are no more excuses.

It's all up to you.
