The word pagan came from paganus , who mean peasant . Its was a way to significate than christianism was the religion of the elite and paganism the one of the savage worker class.

''Trickster shows us how we trick OURSELVES. Her rampant curiosity backfires, but, then, something NEW is discovered (though usually not what She expected)! This is where creativity comes from—experiment, do something different, maybe even something forbidden, and voila! A breakthrough occurs! Ha! Ha! We are released! The world is created anew! Do something backwards, break your own traditions, the barrier breaks; destroy the world as you know it, let the new in.''

A bit off track, perhaps, but what ever happened to Kerilian (sp?) photography?

I drew this picture of the titular character from "The Ballad of Black Jack Jezebel" by the Clockwork Dolls. They liked it on Facebook Smiley

Hope this is okay here, don't think I've posted it before. Not my work, found on google images, the robot is now my wallpaper. He looks like a steamy G.I.R. from Invader Zim.

I know the context about this one. It was made for a contest themed upon steampunk fairy tales. The robot is supposed to be pinochio.

See, when I was at the Abney Park performance at Elfia, the bassist's outfit just looked so oddly familiar, but I could not quite place it. Then I remembered; he reminded me of Fallout New Vegas' Legion armors. Vulpes Inculta, in particular. So this drawing happened.

And this is a character that slowly started coming together after watching a fire show, also at Elfia. His name is Raphael Guerro and he's a bit of an adrenaline junkie.

I'm not very good at really giving stuff a very steampunk feel, as I really need to focus more on detailing (I have a bit of a rough way of drawing) but I'm working on it. Same for machinery; metal often just looks too fluffy when I draw it :')

It pales in comparison to some of the amazing stuff here, but I'm pretty happy with how this turned out for a first graphics tablet sketch (Took me bloody ages too! Tongue)

@Major; for a first tablet sketch it looks really nice! My first tablet drawing was absolute tossage, so worry not; you'll get the hang of it soon enough

I made another thing. At first I wanted to give him a bunch of accessories, but then I decided to keep this character simple.

Not satisfied with the anatomy but also don't feel like fixing it :')

Hope I eventually get to the stage where I can draw things that look like that. Nice work  Wink

I also did another one, this one is even more sketchy, but I'd say it achieves its purpose as a concept art Tongue

@Major; I'm sure you will ^^ It's mostly just a lot of practise, after all, and learning from others. Thank you!

@Selectedgrub; That is indeed different! But in a super cool way! Wow

@Chicar: Wow, she's really good o3o Love the use of colour

I'll probably never really practice enough, but like I say, its good enough for concept art Tongue

Also, that is indeed wonderfully different selectedgrub, although we expect nothing less Wink

If assembled correctly it becomes a little steampunk man. I don't have pictures of the finished project because the glue didn't hold and it fell apart before I could even finish it. I might try to make it again, in that case pictures will come later
