I've just begun a project to create my patented Portable Electro-Mechanical Orchestra Reproductor (aka a steam styled protective casemod with an iPod Nano inside).  I'm planning on having mulit-layer cut brass cog detailing in a panel on the back, dark stained wood veneer panels, and some kind of skirted knob covering up the touch wheel/menu button. Also, I intend to hack the iPod so I can have a cog background and a victorian font on screen, if possible.

Lacking the machine shop access that so many other members seem to have, it'll take me a bit, but I figured I'd throw the idea out there, and maybe I'll get suggestions to help me work it out as I go.

The walls between art and engineering exist only in our minds.
