I do have to ask sir, who is the 2D magic lantern operator behind that intro?
As a visual magician myself I do have to say they are, very good.

I will unfortunately not be in Australia then, but I'm sure it will be a delightful cause célèbre.

I have had my tickets since last year.  It should be a smashing show.  I just need to sort out accommodation and companionship really.

Only one week to go, super excited.
I've had one email back about volunteering at the event also but still waiting for further information.

Steamfest Australia was a success. I met G.D. Falksen, Evelyn Kriete, Abney Park, Unwoman, Rapskallion, Star Boy and the Mouldy Lovers.

I had the pleasure of being their official escort from green room to Q&A, then to signings.

My son Jim with the most excellent Mr G.D. Falksen.

Great photos Raven,

I had the pleasure of making your acquaintance late Sunday afternoon, you might remember me, although you did have the nasty sun in your eyes.

My apologies maduncle for the delay,

Well Prof. Elemental didn't get to board the plane so we unfortunately missed seeing him.
Abney Park were excellent and they even played us a new unreleased song.
Starboy does an absolutely amazing performance.
We had Rapskallion from Victoria whom are such rascals.
A local West End band The Mouldy Lovers were ever so humble.
The lovely Miss Evelyn Kriete was so kind and gave us plenty of insight.
Mr G.D. Falksen was ever so pleasant and I could just listen to him speak for hours.
Other guests included Mr Allen Freeman whom is soon to release a photographic novella,
Titled Dr. Peepers in the Time Machine Conundrum, featuring the extremely beautiful Miss Felina Vie
Whom also graced us with her presence.

Outfits were phenomenal, I shall seek permission to share some links to photographs.
https://www.facebook.com/SteampunkSunday compiled some really good coverage for those on facebook.

I was completely run off my feet for most of the two days escorting our wonderful local,
national and international guests to and fro between talks and signings etc.
and so I was unable to wield a camera and cover the event.

Captain Robert video blogged some backstage antics.
Some other videos are beginning to surface from their performances as well.

I've probably missed something really exciting that I will think of later.

Kindest regards,
Stacy

The outfits and gear were superb! So many in full regalia Smiley

To be perfectly honest though I'm the last person to give a report on things Tongue I was mostly at the stall, chatting with people about leatherwork.

The prof had VISA issues.

Had the pleasure of being at Steamfest with DH. Was fabulous, really enjoyed my first steampunk event (though been following for some time). Looking forward to the next one immensely.

Goodo (not the VISA thingy, but the fact you enjoyed it).

I am wondering if Melbourne might try and do something when the Antipodean Steampunk Show (touring exhibition) gets here next year.
