Im sorry if this is the wrong place to ask this, but I have been eying this watch: http://www.ebay.com/itm/160852264093?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 for awhile and was wondering if anyone has one or could offer some information about it. It seems like a good deal for the money, and would look nice even for casual wear. So again, sorry if this is th wrong place to post this but I wanted to hear what other people think before I buy.

I think it would be very difficult to read, but it certainly looks impressive.

I can read time at a glance as long as I know where 12 is, so reading shouldnt be a problem. FOr US $15, I think I'll check it out.

Looks nice!

I have had my eye on this watch now for years.

http://www.stauer.com/item/Stauer-Graves-%2733-Wristwatch/17453/2

Sadly I discovered that they may not really be based on a supposed 1923 design. Then recently discovered that these watches most likely are but not of the same quality. In some respects they are better and in some respects they are not.

So now I just have to decide if I should purchase one or not.  Undecided

Weird, but harmless.

My girlfriend bought me a similar watch, except it's black instead of silver accent. It has worked well for a year now with everyday use. I know she got it cheap on ebay.. I'm not sure if it was this exact manufacturer, though.

It certainly appears to be legitimately mechanical (I can see an escape wheel hiding down inside) but I'm not sure what those two wheels on the face do, and I've no idea what "Feature: Daily Water Resistant" means. Huh

Here is mine. Just over a year and it goes great.

I've no idea what "Feature: Daily Water Resistant" means. Huh

It means it can be worn in the rain or so, but cannot be submerged. I've had mine while walking through storms. However I wouldn't pointlessly test it in.. say the shower.  Cheesy

That Stauer ad is endlessly amusing!  They did a good job of making their $20 Chinese mechanical sound like a real sweet watch.
