BLORGHCH HURF HARF! What a bounder! HUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRCHGHCHGHCH!

Our poor chairthing appears still to be choking on the steam and smoke from Met. No.1's outing to Farringdon Street a few weeks ago.  To clear my own lungs from the smog I'm playing to Chesham in the hope of finding some fresh air in the Chilterns.

Persons intending to travel by open carriage should select a seat with their backs to the engine, by which means they will avoid the ashes emitted therefrom, that in travelling generally, but particularly through the tunnels, prove a great annoyance; the carriage farthest from the engine will in consequence be found the most desirable.

Sir/Madam/housestaff,

Having considered all my options and imbibed sufficient quantities of malt (Glenmorangie 15 yr.) I consider the following response appropriate:

Chalfont Road

In trust the Ladies are not to distressed by such a demanding move. I am also taking suggestions for which malt should adequately follow the Glenmorangie - I have most available yet remain strangely undecided. I blame this on overly tight elastic and a curious lack of talcum.

Yours felicitously and in perspiration,

L.H.

Well, in the absence of a reply, and not wishing to unduly tax Mr. Chairthing's poor steamed lungs, I shall go ahead and make a start at Elephant & Castle. Depositing one ham sandwich on rye and a silver token, of course.

Actually, I'm not acting chairthing for this round, but I'll take over if the good Captain doesn't show up. Rules set for this rubber is the now obscure 1888 Imperial Coronation edition, published to celebrate the rise of Victoria's grandson to the German throne. Circle line is slowed to half speed, and intersections are declared bratwurst.

Excellent choice of rule set there; this should be a very interesting rubber.

Lungs cleared, I'm heading to Amersham as an opening gambit.

There's a bylaw with the Imperial Coronation edition which specifically allows for military parades to appease the Prussians. Should no further move be made, we shall have an extremely boring parade.

With how long this game is taking between moves, we'll have time to dig a ship canal and have the navy do a sail-by alongside it  Cheesy  Undecided

Due to overly enthusiastic Prussian soldiers marching around, Marble Arch is declared sauerkraut for three turns.

Ooooh Regent Street. Nicely played. *tips hat*

Especially well done as I have been spun around thrice deosil by a cadre of witches accompanying the Prussian soldiers I leapfrogged earlier.
I now find myself in nip and exiled to North Harrow for two rounds Sad
