Okay, I searched and didn't find an Army of Darkness discussion, or a mechanical arm thread where this might fit, so I guess I'm safe. Smiley

Propnomicon's blog posted a link to this interesting how-to on making a reproduction of Ash's metal arm from the movie. I thought some of the construction techniques might be helpful for some of you costumer/propmakers out there working on your own metal appendages.

Very cool!
After reading that blog post, I of course had to go through and read everything else he did...
He makes some really nice stuff!
I especially loved the TARDIS DVD cabinet.

I've already decided to steal the 'make runes with puff paint' technique from his Sauron helm for my own projects. Smiley

And you're right, it is incredibly obvious in retrospect.
