Author Topic: Penny Farthing races!  (Read 532 times)

I couldn't believe that I missed this one, when I saw it covered on the news here in Australia a couple of weeks ago:[/img]]

They hold the national Penny Farthing championship each year there, and apparently it is the perfect venue: lots of historic buildings, etc...

Not only that, but it was a guy from my local bicycle club (Dulwich Hill, in NSW: that won it! I talked to some of the team who went down there last week!

Guys: I could totally get into Penny Farthing Racing, through my local bike club! How cool is that!?

Yesterday (in Madonna MD) as I was driving back from work there were 2 guys with the usual biking apparel and equipment peddling away along the side of Rt 23 - nothing unusual there, except both were on pennyfarthings.  Never saw anything like that before, but it was very cool. markf
