Uncle Arthur, am I the only one who even remembers this thread?  I had hoped that more information might be forthcoming.

We're so sorry,
Uncle Albert,
But we haven't done a bloody thing all day…

Me too. I would have posted more pages from it by now, but there have been questions concerning their authenticity. I sent the remaining folios to the British Library, but every time I call to see how the investigation is progressing they just giggle and hang up...

Are you positive that they are giggling & not crying?

Apparently, in order to maintain the ancient manuscripts in the best possible condition, the archives are flooded with nitrous oxide.

Is that anything like the St. Dibnah Metal?

Don't know St. Dibnah... St. Dymphna is the patron saint of the mentally ill.  WAIT!  Don't YOU have one too?

Fair enough — I only know of St. Dibnah from his being mentioned here.

Me, have a St. Dymphna Medal? Are you nuts?

You are on Brass Goggles- doesn't that qualify you for a St. Dymphna Medal?

Anything further on the restoration of the medal, or on a new expedition?

Yes, but where to start?  What shall I include to distinguish this from other medals?

Well, it will have to be crammed full of BG iconography, so there is plenty of scope for rude mechanicals (or even polite ones), heroes and/or heroines of the BG world, and the otherwise weird and wonderful - maybe a Challenge topic for those gifted in the metal arts??

One thing is an absolute must- His halo will be a toothed cog.  Perhaps he'll hold a wrench, as patron of steampunk builders?

Also, he shall hold a large radish on the palm of his extended left hand- a symbol of his near-martyrdom- but more of that later if there is enough interest.
