Thank you sir, got the contract doc in the drop box, so all is well.  Will return in a few days - literally just got back off my hols about an hour ago so mucho to do at the mo.  Be in touch.  Sir, you are a scholar and a gent and a mighty labourer - very many thanks, and I look forward to seeing the finished article at the Asylum.  Has it really been a year since the last one?

OK

Lost Patrol Timetable - flexibility is the watchword.

Priorities:

Saturday Morning 9.00am, help with setting up.

Saturday Lunchtime - giving the anchor a lunch break.

Saturday evening - packing down as required by venue manager.

Sunday - essentially the same.

I am on panel at the Assembly rooms at 11 am on Saturday. The book launch is 1pm on Saturday

The rest of the time I will be busy at the Castle.

Please indicate when and where you think you can help and we will get organised.

Looking forward to the launch/lunch at 1pm.  Thanks to a cock-up on the hotel booking front we will only be staying on Friday night, going home on Sat after seeing the play at Bishop Greaves Theatre.  Heigh-ho.

Still, it saves cash and we will now be spending it on a new piece of furniture that looks like a battered leather suitcase, buckles, straps, upright, and full of little drawers (and I don't mean ladies'...).  To replace a nice oak sort of column-cum-jardiniere that broke my dear wife's fall when she fell down the stairs a couple of years ago.  She lived to tell the tale, thanks to that wooden column.  The remains are retired in the garden now supporting a variety of objects including the Iron Chicken (a little model chicken made out of, ironically, chicken wire).

The book is now launched and remains airborne!

After the response from the audience at the asylum, I will be putting together the details of the next volume and posting in the next few days.

Thankyou to everyone for taking part and supporting these projects.

I didn't remember to pick up a copy at Asylum. Is it available by mail at this time?

Any shots of the cover and information about where we can get a copy?  I'd like to feature this on the front page of brass goggles Smiley

Same here, it's an excellent training ground for the novice writers, like so much arising out of The Asylum it is getting people to try something new, not just for themselves, but for the benefit of everyone.

Well done, as always, for getting the asylum book out against a terribly tight deadline. I am happy to do proofreading on the next volume and indeed on your other publications if you give me a little notice.

Just for those who haven't seen it (and I only went looking because Arkwright mentioned it to me), there's a thread for Volume 4

A bit of threadcromancy, here - can I remind everyone that if you have friends, family, colleagues or serfs who have read and enjoyed this volume, or any other of The Asylum Chronicles (or even my own humble tome (The Home Front!) ahem), please encourage them to leave a genuine review on Amazon, on Good reads, or other places of their choosing. Reviews help to spread the word and encourage other readers to take a chance (and also encourage Amazon to hold books in stock!)

I thank you. Public address over. *removes soapbox*
