Hi All

Just to prod people who still have stories outstanding:

A life worth living - Captain Ella Thorne
One piece at a time - SteamBlast Mary
The Royston Caves - Mimsy Beaucoup
The jungle of the mind – DrVesuvius
The Box - Septimus Grey
When the moon is dark - WickedPenguin
Fire and Ice - Outflyer_Calliope
The thickness of a shadow - Mortim
The Hunter in the shadows – NotHarvard
Forbidden Knowledge - ScytheKnight

As soon as possible please. I want to get things moved on so I can get on with the many other projects that are starting to stack up on The Last Lines doorstep.

OK,

we are now nearly at the end of February - and we are no further on.

I'm going to have to get out the sharp pointy stick of encouragement.

Speaking of slow progress, what's the deadline for second draft versions?

Hello there!

Duellist - I would like 2nd drafts by the end of May. I'll be posting comments to people who have submitted over the next week.

I am getting a little stressed though, I currently have only half a book! If I don't hear anything soon, I am going to have to re-open submissions on the basis of completed works/accept/reject basis - and the whole point of these projects was to move away from that.

So can all thouse with outstanding stories please contact me and let me know what is happening?

Just proofed another item.

Can i just mention that I will be VERY busy in the first week of May, due to the local elections here. If I am elected I will still be busy but the fickle public may of course not re-elect me in which case I will have more time and need your delightful distractions to take my mind of worldly failure.....

Hello there,

I have started adding my comments to stories in drop box (if I haven't contacted you already) so please keep checking. It will be obvious which ones I've commented on.

I have had three new writers step into the breach, one has alrewady delivered a story. So we shall have a book for the Asylum in September one way or another!

I have started planning the links and I have commisioned the cover art.

Lets make this happen!

Well done, sir!  I'm looking forward to reading your comments and will make any necessary changes and have them back to you in as quick a jiff as I can manage.  If you find yourself still short, let me know, I've got quite a lot of stuff in various states of repair that I can upgrade.

Thankyou professor!

As we are now in May can I ask that contributers submit their 2nd drafts by the end of this month.

Greensteam is doing a great job with the proof reading and I have put comments at the end of each story.

One last push and we can put this one to bed!

There will be a slight delay in transmission................

I am unavoidably occupied with the elections until saturday.

Normal proofing service should resume shortly.

Arkwright....

I know you're busy, but can you re-invite me to the dropbox folder?  I've only gone and removed myself by accident while trying to leave another folder...

As (Sir) Terry Pratchett says, "Writing is the most fun anyone can have by themselves"

A particularly favourite quote of mine.

His other one I remind myself of every so often:

"While a book has got to be worthwhile from the point of view of the reader it's got to be worthwhile from the point of view of the writer as well"

And what makes it worthwhile for you ?

Just submitted additional changes. Hopefully I have ironed out a few kinks. Do let me know if you would like me to alter anything.

I just put the new version of my story into the dropbox (With the changes you suggested, Mr. Arkwright, as near to them as I could remember. I cannot seem to remember the name of the device you mentioned in your email, however). Hopefully it's not too late.
