The lovely Andrew O'Neil is playing The Electric Cinema in Brum this Sunday evening at 20.30.
Not his usual show but his Historical masterpiece, 'Winstone Churchill was Jack the Ripper'

Ticket available from here   http://www.theelectric.co.uk/programme.php?film=301

There will be a small group of us going and as The E.C. serves absinthe it would be rude not to go.

A perfect end to a summer weekend.

So are you going to join us Huh

Alas and alack, it is just a bit too far from the Costa del Essex and no doubt the barbecue will occupy most of my afternoon. However, come evening I shall join you in spirit (Absinthe that is - possibly with "Now that's what I call Steampunk" playing 'softly' in the background). As they say, "Absinthe makes the heart grow fondler"!

Have a great time, one and all.

Have set up a FB event via the West Midlands Steampunk Assembly group page (which means everyone who's joined will automatically receive an invite so no-one can say they didn't know about it)

Many thanks for the offer, but I was in Birmingham today so popped in to purchase my ticket to be on the safe side  Smiley

Anyone intending to travel by train please note: the steps that link Birmingham New Street Station to street level (and the 'Cinema) will be CLOSED as of tomorrow. Typical. We'll have to go around, so leave a little extra time.

Really sorry I couldn't join you but I had a piece of work that had to be finished for today. As always, the last little bit took a huge slice of time.

Maybe next time.
