Not a great name, I admit, but better than "Loads of old fire engines in the sunshine".

Again at the Kew Bridge Steam Museum. Sunday 15/05

This event is a triple:
The railway will be running so you get to have a ride on that, expertly driven by Prof. Oilcan.

The Giants Of Steam weekend:
Again, it's that time of the month when all the big jumbo beam engines will be in steam. A great day out on its own and going by our previous visit there, it was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Vintage Fire Engine Rally:
And also, there will be a selection of fire engines from very very old indeed up to the newest generation, including some lovely old steam powered ones.

They will also be holding demonstrations of firefighting techniques and lots of hands-on stuff for the coglings.

See you in the sunshine!

I shall likely be there, but somewhat dressed down that day... or at least not as dressed up as the last two times Smiley

Will there be beer after?

My dear Major,

You have to ask "IF" there will be beer after!
You know there will be copious amounts of the beverage consumed until the landlord decides to throw us all out.
I may even try and get them to make the TEA beverage.  Wink

A nice day out with fire engines and steam.

A couple of photographs from Todays, or rather (looking at the clock) Yesterdays proceedings

My dear Danbury,

I have enjoyed your pictograms from yesterdays social meeting!
I also enjoyed the Chin wag over Gin at the Express Taveren along with Leanna and the rest of the KBSM staff and volunteers.
Looking forward to meeting up with all the gang on the 4th June for the start of the Festival.

Twas indeed a nice chinwag afterwards.

I also enjoyed the various audio visual presentations on the practical use of electricity - most informative.  The Mad Science day will certainly be enlightening if he is there to perform a lecture.
