People of brass worshipers and so forth:

I belong to the Radio Zero, a web radio streaming from Lisbon, Portugal. We will be reviewing our shedulle soon and so I'm put forward a call for anyone who want's to risk himself making a weekly radio show with us related to steam-things. Half-hour, one hour, whatever. We can receive the show by ftp and we also make podcasting available. So it's really up to you to make a proposal about this. We really open minded and have no problem with language. Just wan't to host real creative stuff.

So, here, here, this is my call. It's up to you.

If you ever come here (Lisbon) visit the Electricity Museum, it's amazing. I'll try to get some images to backup my statment.

Greets all,

Kyriu

Hey (shameless plug) I'd be happy to offer my music for background atmosphere on your shows (it was made with that in mind).

If you are interested contact me, and I'll send you the location of two zip files with 120 MB of music.

Nice offering Smiley Thanks. Hope someone picks it up. Half hour of steampunk related stuff can't be that difficult...

Personally, it sounds quite intimidating - but I do hope that someone more confident can rise to the challenge.  I'm fairly sure it would be a first, at least that I know of, and it is quite the opportunity.

I certainly hope that someone takes you up on this proposal and, if Mr. Kyriu doesn't object, I'd like to offer an extra incentive. I run a Low-Power FM station in California and if the Steampunk Show takes off, I'd like to consider it for airplay on our station. The area I'm in is really into it's western-victorian roots, so I think that a steam-themed show would play well here.

I don't object as welcome the proposal. All shows on our radio belong to the people who do them and not (just) the radio. I can see several ways of doing it:

 - just steampunk related music
 - comments on new and old things going on on the steampunk related universe (links, book,s films, games, happenings)
 - radioplay steampunk inspired
 ..
 - any other I can't see right now Smiley

No worries my friend, I am in the "process" of doing a DJ set for your show.

I will post when it is finished.
