I tend to post while drunk

I have two pocketwatches that belonged to my great grandfather, both are, I assume, very expensive, if only for their cases since one is platinum and the other sterling silver. And unfortunately neither one currently works, now I'd attempt to repair these myself if I wasn't afraid of losing parts and or making them worse off than they currently are. Both are automatic movements, I cannot remember the maker and I'll try to get some pics eventually to post up here for those of you into watches.

Though on that note, I was wondering if anyone here would know of a reputable watch repair shop, preferably in the DC/Baltimore area?

The very existence of flamethrowers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, "You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done."
