Author Topic: A piece of Rapture to call your own?  (Read 788 times)

I once met a man who could not die. Strange chap.

« on: September 06, 2010, 06:10:48 am »

I know this might be a little off topic timeline wise, but I'd like to know how many people here would like to have some Raptureian products adorning their shelves and desks?

I have made several items and labels for Bioshock themed art which I proudly display on my bookshelf and would gladly share my proofs with interested fans. With the upcoming Bioshock Infinite I wanted to get some of these beauties out to the fans so they can also have a little piece of Rapture. Maybe I can get more timeline accurate items out when Infinite comes out.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I have these files in a compressed file format with some pictures and tje in game item pics so you can get the sizing right. I can offer my assistance as well.

So...any interested folks?

Interesting.  Bio-Shock is a game, right?

 Grin

Seriously, some great work there.  I would be most appreciative of your generosity!

Thanks!

That sir is a perspective. Perhaps I am a traveller of places not within our dimension...
I would not be the first one. There are strAnger places than these, Horacio...

I would be most pleased to give these to you if only to advance the cause of Rapture.

Beautiful work, sir, simply beautiful.  Incredibly detailed, and absolutely true to the source.  Your generosity humbles me; my hat is off to you, sir.

Thank you.

I agree I especially think the eve injector is awesome!  I made a few posters myself and have the stuff from Bioshock 2's special edition also.  What you've made is rather inspiring!

Marvellous work!  I'd be most gratified if you could send me a set.

Am I right in saying that you have made some stickers that you can attach to existing bottles and cans to turn them into Rapture items.
I'd be most grateful if you could send me a copy of them too.

I'll PM you my email address.

Wow. I'm so glad people are actually interested and this is taking off as well as it is. I expected cat calls and jeers. Glad I was wrong.

I have sent off the files to those of you who have PM'ed me already. All others please PM me as well so I can get the relevant emails and what nots.

I did a good bit of research on each one of these before creating them and tried to get them as accurate as possible. I strive for a "realistic" item and by no means plan to stop at Raptureian items. Please sample my work and bear it in mind if you have a custom item that you might like from another genre or area. I prefer items of a small nature such as these as my space is limited to a one bedroom apartment so please, all clank orders must be submitted to Mechanicsburg. Grin

Remember that I am giving these away and please don't make them with the intent of selling them. There are legal issues with the intellectual property of 2K Games and I'd really dislike it if someone wound up getting into legal troubles over my art. In addition, these were given in the spirit of charity and I hope you will keep that in mind

Thank you for the compliments as well. It makes me feel proud of my art that so many people enjoy it. Keeps me motivated to do the next project.

These are cool - you did a great job on them. Are you by any chance a member of the Replica Prop Forum? I bet they'd just eat these up. In a good way, of course.  Wink

My brother and friends all went crazy when that game was out !

It would be hilarious to have your fine art work to adorn the walls of my "research lab".

Please how do I acquire them ?

BEAUTIFUL, BREATH TAKING, and WONDERUS are the first three words that pop to mind...  The next three would be "Send me, please?" Cheesy

I've sent you a PM, wasnt sure what info of mine you'd need, so I guess I wait then!

But yes, VERY pretty, and would make WONDERFUL gifts!

Wow. Thanks for the wonderful words of praise. To see so many people interested is very encouraging to my prop making. I will send off to those of you who PM'ed me today as soon as I return from work.

I am a member of the 2K Forum but surprisingly not many folks were interested. I am happy to see my work flourishing here!

A little pic of my latest two fresh from my trip to Minerva's Den.

Thanks again and please feel free to contact me if you need anything!
