It's an interesting article. I really like Carnegie, Darwin, and Jefferson's studies, and Thoreau’s Cabin. The rest look a bit much to me, but they're cool. LOL, and I do have to agree with the first comment. Use of the word Man as a prefix gets a bit silly after a while, even in context. Thanks for sharing that. I've always wanted a work room/study of my own.

On a more serious note, I agree with Lord Wraste; thank you for posting Major. It does seem that one requires a private space in which one can unleash the deep-concentration characteristic of the male of the species (concentration developed through evolution ironically, since the days of true "Man Caves").
I'm not married, so for all practical purposes my whole apartment is a "Man Cave." But a personal space for each member in a couple is important, though. My grandmother had her own study room where she could indulge in all things musical and French (in honor of her heritage).

Many great men have had a "The Shed"... Nothing to be ashamed of I have a 'back room' rather than a shed, but the principle is the same. No one else dares to enter except the cats, who apparently have a secret cat place behind my pile of old unix workstations. On the subject of The Shed, though, this is not steam, but definitely punk.

ahh yes....
I have a bungalow behind my house, which I will one day convert into a studio...it will be a quiet place for me to write and work on props.
there used to be several of the same style and make, and reportedly, Gangster John Dillinger once hid out in ONE of them......nobody knows which (might even be mine), but one thing's for certain......
of all the ones that used to be there, only mine remains, and we own it outright.
