Author Topic: Magic Lantern Projectors  (Read 1595 times)
« on: July 13, 2007, 05:55:13 pm »

Greetings good Sirs and Madams, and thank you most kindly for allowing myself to communicate with you today. I have but newly arrived to these forrums, but have found them full of much mirth, merriment and whimsey.

I come from a mostly historical research point of view, but have become much enamored of the creativity and style associated with this fair community. In the continuing quest to rediscover secrets lost to the raveges of time, I search out clues in all manner of materials.

Upon this search, I have found that the photographic plates taken for the usage in the Magic Lantern Slide Projector to be most intrieging. (Plus, this is a fairly untapped source of good, vintigate historical images!) As an added bonus, the projectors themselves just scream out to be included in any good victorian mad scientists workshop.

The following links will give you an idea of the machines to which I speak if you are unfamiliar with them.

Thanks you, and I sincerly hope that this has brought a pleasant respite from an otherwise hectic day of toiling with boilers, fighting air kraken, and completing your fabulous wardrobes!  Smiley
