Steampunk Art Show, Spokane WA~ All of July

At The Gallery of THUM:  Steam Plant Building: 159 South Lincoln Street, Suite 151. Spokane, WA 99201:

Entire month of July.
Opening ceremony: Friday, July 2nd from 5:00-9:00.
-Everyone is welcome!

Uncaged Creations and Gallery of THUM owner Cecile Charles are attempting to educate the Pacific Northwest (besides Seattle) about the Steampunk subculture by bringing a steampunk art show to The Gallery of THUM in Spokane, WA.  (Washington)

Currently most of our artists are from the Seattle area, but we are interested in garnering submissions from all over the world.  (Submissions from off-world/other planets are accepted as well, provided that the artist is able to complete the entry form in English)
We will be displaying art work from Abney Park (albums for sale!), Tinplate Studios, Aimee Stewart, SteamPink, author Ivan Drugostrov, Mac McGowan, GemPunk, Mad Dog Hats, Uncaged Creations, and many others.

Guests are welcome to walk -or ambulate in any manner that is suitable to their race- through the Gallery during its operating hours: M-Th: 11:00-6:00.  F-S: 11:00 – 6:30.  Closed Sundays.

All artwork will be available for display and sale throughout the month of July.

I'd love to be there, but I'm on the wrong coast... but some of my art is there...

I should have joined BrassGoggles a few days earlier... I was in Spokane last week and stayed for five days.

It was a lot of fun.  I arrived after 5pm but the place filled up quick.  Some of the artists did not show due to distance, but eastern Washington Steampunks did show up.  I picked up some music but some of the prints I wanted were already sold.
A lot of great items and workmanship.  What an appropriate place to hold a show, at the old steam plant!

The art show is still going.  It will run throughout the entire month of July.

jringling's art work is there, among others.  His work is really amazing!

For those relegated to far away lands, it is available on the web.  NEW WEBSITE: bestspokaneart.com

P.S.  There is also a weekly blog about it, that I write, on bestspokaneart.com

Alright, I feel like an update is in order. I was up there last week. I live over in Post Falls/ Coeur D alene area so it's not a long drive from me!!
The owner said that she was surprised by the turn out and has decided to keep the steampunk art in her gallery!! Only difference is, is that she is moving to a larger location and should be getting more inventory. She feels that there is a large enough base in Spokane to keep it all going. Also, she would like to get Abney Park to do a concert. Only issue is, is that she would have to have a minimum of 1000 people to get them interested.

Well that's all I have for now.

P.s.
Would love to meet more people in the Spokane, Post Falls, and Coeur D Alene area that are into steampunk.

I heard a rumor that they are coming to Spokane, but it is a different Steampunk group that is bringing them here, not the gallery.
