the fact that my lungs feel like they are lightly packed with raw burlap (hessian cloth), and the only time it goes away is when I cough enough that it starts to feel as though somebody has taken a steel bristled brush to my lungs. Been a few time today where I felt like I couldn't get a breath.

The fact that I've just spent 40 minutes trying to replace the stud in my nose piercing. I slept ONE night without it in. ONE NIGHT GODDAMMIT! I got 8 piercings in me ears and never had any trouble but this one tiny nose piercing has been naught but hassle. >nurses soreness<

And you're essentially reduced to stabbing yourself in the nose (again)? Good luck with that... Current GAAAAAAAH is that the foil kite that I started sewing last year and have recently resumed was not backstitched and thus has begun to come apart.. this could present some problems when I try to fly the bugger..

I think that it should reanimate if I tie it to the kite, but it's a bit sketchy at the moment... Only problem is the corpse realising that it's alive and ripping the kite apart as it tries to free itself. Ah well. Ve'll let you know. *bang*

Usually I wear a hat whilst outdoors. The whole of Saturday, which was unexpectedly sunny, I spent bare-headed. The resulting sunburn on my forehead now makes wearing a hat very uncomfortable...
At least the next couple of days is forecast to be cloudy.

J.Wilhelm..I appreciate what you say. My sympathies, my friend. It can't be easy looking after an elderly relative full time.
However, my Mother has decided 'sooner the better' regarding her visit and informed me last night she's coming down next Monday (Aug 2nd) for five days!!! I was expecting her to give a date towards the end of the month..or even in early September. Which means getting the flat to her standard of cleanliness as opposed to mine (she makes Monica from Friends look slovenly). I've had to spring it on my supervisor that I want the whole of next week off..which has caused a few duty roster problems. We have company staying over after the Summer Sizzler next week so the spare bed will have to stripped and new bedclothes put on before she turns up on Monday. It's all happening too fast.
My left hip/groin has really been aching since yesterday morning (I have two artificial hips) and now I'm walking with a pronounced limp (spelled l-i-m-p and pronounced 'limp'*)..
Last night I tried on my (so called size 11..yeah right!) 3rd Foot and Mouth gaiters and I can't even get the ends to meet round my ankles let alone button the damned things up so they will have to be altered..which I don't have the time or the experience to do. I'll have to sweet talk the Countess and see if she can do something..providing I can buy some white canvas somewhere..
And to top it all the road out back of the building I work in where I (and other staff) go to have a smoke and drink our coffee (which helps ease the stress of the day) has been closed at both ends due to a suspected gas leak.
And it's only Monday...GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!

It kind of reminds me of when I embarked on the yearly organizing of Christmas for 9-10 people, say about 5-10 years back (when I still had money). My grandfather was already too frail to help, so I'd have to do everything from shopping to cleaning to cooking (my real forte). It took me an entire week for just one day of celebration! Four words of advice for fast cleanup of surfaces: Chlorine Spray - Old Towels.

The bank, cashing two big checks at the same time from me while waiting to deposit another check for me. Which caused an overdraft, which they charged me for, which lead to the deficiet in my account exceeding their magic number, which caused an additional charge which dropped the amount below what the deposit would have brought it out of. So the time rolls around two days later when the defecite is noted again and a charge if made again.
Nobody contacts me and my checkbook balance say I still have over 100 in my account. So I get groceries and fuel. Two seperate charges that are counted and each charged 25$ and because we are now passing another magic marker... another charge of 35$.
Son of a bitch! A months pay cause they f-ing handled stuff sloppily.

Noses heal up loads too quickly, don't they? In fact, when I got my septum done, I had it pierced twice in one sitting. The piercer told me one of the holes closed up before he even put the jewelry in! I guess that happens sometimes...? Gaaah!

I had a similar thing happen several years ago; cost me about £80 because I was 10p overdrawn and by the time I got the letter three days later (I actually lived 20 yards from the bank) theyed charged me for being overdawn, sending me a letter to tell me I was overdrawn and three days worth of charges for the letters mighty journey to me. needless to say I changed my bank shortly after

I was told I had gone too far over my limit and would have to pay off a considerable amount in one go. So I decided to take them up on their offer. I had to open an account with them in order to receive a loan. The account would have a £600 over draft that I could use straight away to pay off the debt. They opened the account and the loan person did the paper work there and then so I could use the £600 straight away to pay the credit card bill . A week later I was told that my loan had been turned down...and now I had an account with them I didn't want and I also owed them £600 plus the interest!! I bet that's a nice little earner for them! Bastards!!!

apparently the situation began with my paying the land lord rent at 6pm before the first. Figuring the charges that would be cashed the coming week. Then Paying the Car inspection shysters via the credit feature of my debit credit card so it would take a few more days and go toward my credit history for future loans. Then at 7pm thursday night depositing several hundred in the bank.
Only my landlord must have snagged the check within mins, run to a bank open late, and deposited it. And the car cons debited the entire cost right away. While my deposit went in as being a friday transaction (after 5pm on thursday) and all deposits take 24hr.s to approve. And they don't do weekends.
So if rent haad gone through followed by deposit and then car, I would have posative 134. If car went through then deposit and then rent again 134. but with Rent, car, 25 overdraft for thursday, 25 they tryagain on friday, 35 bonus charge for size of overdraft exceeding 20. Overdraft on monday because I had two day to correct the charges and failed to do so.
Meanwhile my checkbook says +134.
No contact, nothing. Another overdraft fee every two days for failure to pay. Then with my fictional+134 I buy some fuel and Food. Two additional 20 overdraft fees on top of the regular overdrafts every 2 days. and then today an automated call comes to my phone saying that if I am such and such person please press1. I press on. it say "if not press 2" I press 1 again. It says the same thing again. I press 1. it tells me I've failed to respond and should call back at some 1800.
Apparently for attempted avoidance of payment resolution I pay 35.
It's paid off now though. Rents getting payed a bit later in august. I'll see what I can do for other money. Then I'm researching other banks. This is not the first F up they've thrown at me. Including sending my statement to the physical place I used to reside at but moved out of due to the landlady or her son going through my space while I was out (not to mention turning off the heat I paid for in winter to save herself money), rather then the mailing address I specifically told them was the only place I wanted mail coming.

Roving Jack:
That's why I do it like in the old days and actually pull the cash out and pay my landlord with Western Union! I simply got tired of dealing with overdraft charges. If I do get them, I will usually scream at them in the bank and I get the overdraft charges reversed. The trick is they will shift the order of charges and deposits, starting with the largest magnitude first (positive or negative) and so on. At the end of the day if the computer can't find a way to have a positive balance in your account, then it considers the largest charge as passing first (i.e. your rent), so they maximize the number of overdrafts!!! Perfectly legal if you read the fine print of your contract. The fault may lie on the bank, not your landlord. Unfortunately people who have little money are the biggest losers in banking and the ones who support the banks through overdrafts schemes like the one above. It's time for you to walk away from that bank!
Banks are barely worth the effort unless you have a lot of money, and then you still have to check their hands all the time to see they didn't pull a fast one on you.

Racing home after work and waiting for someone to show up. Fifteen minutes late. Half hour late. Hour late. Two hours late...
At two hours, I eventually gave up and went to bed. But because I was too busy waiting, I didn't get a chance to do some of my work from home.

Today I did one of my twice weekly car runs to take my Mother-In-Law and some of her old lady friends to thier club. When I returned to pick them up one of the old dears banged her forehead on the doorjam trying to get in, fell backwards and was heading for a nasty meeting of head and pavement. So, I stepped forward and caught her. All fine except I have almost dislocated my arthritic shoulder, twisted my left wrist and knee and gave my already painful neck a nasty wrench. 'GAAAA' and indeed 'AAAAgh'.
She's o.k. though.
