eat food, peice of food goes between two back molars, ever bit forces it deeper and it won't respond to picking or floss, works under the gum, and gum swells around it. No amount of working is getting it out, every bite of anything, even boild chicken thigh, hurts. Work at it, work at it and finally catch a tiny edge and work it out.
Comes out, with blood following. swelling begins to partly go down but dull ache and throbbing hint that it might not have all come out. Entire jaw is tender. Next meal, first bite something gets down in the exact same spot!, swelling and pain.
Got a tiny thing out but there is surely more still in there. Throbbing and pain. Didn't hurt this bad when they pulled a wisdom tooth. Worse, the ear and throat on that side ache now. There is a lump forming detectable to the touch.
No dental coverage, No detist, no dental clinic in this state (WTF is that about). Can't take painkillers due to another illness.
I spent twenty mins staring at a set of pliers, before I thought better of it. I don't want a broken peice needing to be fished out, nor infected open socket.

No dental clinic in your state? Sounds like your molar is impacted. That was the pretext for extracting my wisdom teeth. Reality: I think both adjacent molars on one side (top/bottom) were cracked during the process of wisdom teeth extraction. The cure is worse than the disease. Now I have two permanently pressure-sensitive molars, that make me see stars if I bite on something hard by mistake. I've had this for years. Should I sue my dentist? You will not be OK until you fish that piece of food out. Just beware of scammer dentists (oh yes, I forgot...the Dentist is a very "moral" person we knew from church...) EDIT: I forgot my current Gaaah! OK: Commercialism. For those who think Steampunk in not going mainstream. Look at Artfire.com Two "artists" have essentially taken over the Steampunk category, by investing in large numbers of items (300 and 500 pieces, each) and are selling in the say 10-20 piece range annually. What is the point of me holding a page there??? Saddest thing, some of the designs involve watches some of whose designs are clearly stolen from an artist I recognize. There's no way I'm putting my watches in that forum. Commercialism ....GAAAAAH!

No wonder it bloody hurt so much. I'd say the total amount pulled out thus far has to be equal to two kernels of corn. essentially enough that I could make a scuplt of the part of the tooth that is above the gum. Still sore and a bit tender but swelling is much reduced and significantly less painful. I'm going to eat very carefully for a while and let that area close up and heal. That's not as easy as it sounds due to a pressure sensative partially cracked tooth on the other side. Jeesh where is the spackle. yeah I wish these sorts of problems were fixed so easily.

Thing that makes me go GAAAAAAAAAAAHHH.... I live in the middle of nowhere. We occasionally get things delivered to us, which includes coal. Today the coalman came, delivered the winter coal, then drove further along the single track road to turn and go back the way he came. I was out in the garden and did hear him slam on the brakes, then the tumble of two coal sacks from the back of the lorry. Thinking he`d just stopped because they fell off, I thought nothing of it as he picked the coal up and went on his way (all the time his radio thumping at beyond decibel level, perhaps he IS deaf after all..) Then comes this evening and I round up my hens and herd them into their roomy hutches so they can perch and preen for the night. One missing. My hens are pretty damn tame. They come when I call them (chook chook) so I didn`t think she was just ignoring me. Found her, dead, in the ditch by the side of the road. She`d been hit by the lorry. Wasn`t pretty. What really p*sses me off more than anything, because my birds are free range and ok, accidents happen even if he was driving too blo*dy fast..is that he just threw her into the ditch (where the feathers were, that`s where she`d been hit and was on the road at the side, not near the ditch) and didn`t say a word, just drove off. If he`d just come and explained, yes, I`m upset she died but I have kept livestock most of my life so know such things happen, and I wouldn`t have been half so upset as I am now, and very very angry at him. I just wish folks visiting the countryside wouldn`t treat single track, empty roads as their own personal Grand Prix track. Next time it might be a child out walking with mum. And yes, I will be having a word when I see him next time. A stern one...

Okay, this is one of those 'the modern world is crap' things: My aged and infirm mother takes so many pills and potions that if she were made of glass and able to do the twist she would resemble a multi-hued snowglobe, to this end she has a multiple repeat prescription, which one of her friends popped into the doctor's surgery on monday, so it would be in the pharmacy to be made up and collected on wednesday; today (friday) I went to the pharmacy for the medicines- the doctor hasn't sent it. So off I trot to the doctors, and the receptionist tells me the doctor hasn't signed it. Nothing she can do, so back to mother I drive. I tell mother the tale, she then phones the doctor's receptionist and tells them it's URGENT- they tell her that if I go back to the doctors, it will be signed and I can take it to the chemist. Now, this is what makes it really stupid- the pharmacy and the doctors are in the same building- all they have to do to get the prescription to the chemist is to walk down one flight of stairs, whereas I have to drive two miles, what the zark is going on???
So I went back, and just out of cussedness, I didn't take it to the surgery's pharmacy, I went across the road to Boots.
GAAAAAHHHH!!!

This isn't anywhere near as bad as the previous posters, but it still annoys me.
Inside: smells like fall, has the slight bite in the air of fall, cool like fall. I adore fall. Outside: 90-odd degrees, high humidity, and no breeze. D:
I WANT FALL. I WANT TO WEAR MY PRETTIES. It's too hot right now to wear anything more than jeans and t-shirts.

I'm becoming very frustrated because between my broken sewing machine and the fact that the fabric stores don't have any bloody striped fabric. How hard is it to have striped calico? Really? UGH. Or: GAAAAAAAH. Now I can't start on my sewing projects that have to be done before next month. :/

I had my yearly medical at the Dole Doctors last week, gets a letter through today, informing me that I'm no longer eligable for Incapacity Benefit. If I want to appeal the decision, it can take upto 6 months to be heard.

I can't believe it but I'm still ill!!!!! That's nearly a whole week!!! Is there some flu type thing going round that hasn't made the headlines for fear of Swine type hysteria, or have I just been unlucky?? I didn't get to go to the Steam Fair and feel really bad that I didn't manage to communicate with Engineer about it in time - I kept thinking that I'd feel well enough and then didn't..... My DH says he left messages on his phone but I don't know if he got them. And the irony is I've been reading about the law of attraction online and may well have brought it on myself. Good job I'm a sceptical Capricorn and don't really buy into that stuff. Gaaah!! I want my life back without a hacking cough, earache and nausea!!!!!!!

I had a cough that was horrible for three weeks. and certain problems that act up when I get a virus acted up, so there is something out there. But what and where and if it's the same thing I don't know for sure.

Dear Victoria: Sorry to hear about your flu-like symptoms. In my experience, a two-week period is not unusual for a viral infection (e.g. flu), whereas a one week period is more natural for a bacterial infection (e.g. strep throat). The lastest flu strains over here have been particularly strong, so just hang tight, it'll pass You know the drill, warm fluids frequently, better to drink acid/citrus juices like orange juice and maybe hit the 4000 mg/day (Unit) mark in Vitamin C. That tends to shorten the duration of a viral infection. JW

hope you're all feeling better soon, thanks to the lying bastards advertising agencies and peddlers of snake oil we're all suppose to think we can get over even the Flu in a day. More realistically it can be a couple of weeks and you'll probably wish you were dead in the meantime. I suppose it keeps us out of the doctors surgeries.

My best friend bailing on helping me move because her boyfriend wants to stay at the lake for another day.
Getting nagged by my roommate, who is already moved in. I hate getting nagged, especially when it's about something that only affects me.
Getting called by both locations, the one that I currently manage, and the new one, one after the other, and being asked when I'm going to come and get my keys or drop off my keys. Yes, yes, I'm aware, it has to get done today. I was hoping to swing by both places in between moving, but it looks like that isn't going to happen.
Argh. Today doesn't feel like a day off.

The weather. Gaaaag! We are getting the remnants of hurricane Hermine. Lots of wind and bands of very fine yet extremely copious rain -most of the time at an angle, and non stop since the wee hours of the morning. Impossible to do anything in this Labour Day. So I wouldn't complain about having to work; if you can then at least you're doing something useful. Over here it's impossible to go out without getting drenched from head to toe, regardless of any kind of impermeable devices you may wear.
