Imagicon SteamPunk Art Contest!

What: Call for Art

For: ImagiCon Program Cover

Details: The Imagicon Art Department is now accepting submissions for Cover Art for our ImagiCon Program Book!

Last year Horror Artist Billy Tackett created custom art for our Program cover-a Steampunk styled image of the Imaginist-a mad scientist/inventor type who represents the Imagination and Creativity theme that ImagiCon strives to emphasize.

ImagiCon, with its strong steampunk programming, wishes to continue this theme with our Program covers so we are holding a contest to seek fresh new art! All submissions need to be of the Steampunk genre and based on the theme of Imagination and Creativity.

What You Get: All Artists who contribute submissions will receive a $5 discount off their ImagiCon memberships! The winning artwork will grace ImagiCon’s Program cover and the winning Artist will receive 2 FREE memberships to ImagiCon and a free 4 x 4 panel in the ImagiCon Art Show!

Fine Print: Please submit all images in jpg format at 72 dpi with the largest side measuring 500 pixels. If your art is chosen, we will request a larger file at that time. Any medium can be used: either traditional or digital will be accepted.

*** With your submission, you agree to allow your art to be used for ImagiCon promotional purposes such as fliers and website art, etc. with an artists credit. All submissions must be received by midnight May 1, 2010. Please email submissions to

So, get out your pencils, pens, pixels and paints, call on your muse and get in your groove! IMAGICON WANTS YOUR ART! ImagiCon is a Science Fiction & Fantasy Convention in Birmingham Alabama May 21-23, 2010.  Event details at !
