Ah Msr Sprocket, do you really want to open that crate of cogs? They may be perfectly packed and oiled but are they usable?

My dear mad salvager, as a wise engineer once said and I quote:

"Russian parts, American parts, all MADE IN TAIWAN!"

Jeez...  Packing cogs?  That already sounds bad...

I like crate of cogs, though...  I'll use that one.

"Pardon me, sir - but I hear you're the gentleman to see when I need my equipment seen to.  You see, I'm running a bit hot right now, the pressure is intolerable and I just don't know what knobs to touch, or leave well alone.  To say that it's getting steamy down there would be an understatement of the highest order - it's so hot, indeed, that it brings a flush to my face at the mere thought.  Still - I suppose it's better to keep a flame burning hot than let it go out without a fight.

Why yes of course I'm talking about the central heating boiler in the basement - what on earth did you think I was talking about?"

My word I'd think any upstanding gentleman's next phrase to the lady who said that is "will you marry me?"   Shocked

Ma'am, that's such a far cry from the sort of conversation I'm used to from saloon girls and "soiled doves"... I do believe I best just excuse myself. Otherwise I will probably embarass myself...

Yes, well...

*looks about quite embarrassed then pulls out his tool bag*

Boilers arn't exactly my area of expertise but if you would be so kind as to fetch drinks, or perhaps go for a stroll I might be able to chase down the problem. I must, however, caution you that for your own safety it would be best to keep a distance from the actual work as my own inexperience could very likely do any and all near to me great physical  harm.
