Found some good photos online, thought I'd share them...   Wink

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you the cast of our little serial drama:

Captain Theosophus Grey, AOF

RSM MW Bailey

Journalist Matthias Pennypecker Esq.

Commander Frank Vilhaus, RBS

Should the mysterious Ms. Curious care to rejoin us, I would humbly recommend the following:

(Please excuse the poor resolution, but Ms. Curious was beating up the photographer at the time...)  Wink

No problem, appropriate damage assessment, was mostly intended as a distraction which you picked up on - good stuff!  Wink

Vandenberg's murderer is to be placed in the suit in the Liquid Environment, a la the movie Outland (the one with Sean Connery as the Federal Marshal), NOT PENNYPECKER, to avoid any possible confusion on that point.

Also it provides some unique opportunities, but please let's not kill the guy off just yet...

Oops, just reread this, my apologies Mr. Bailey - just wanted to interject some creepy Illuminati elements.  BTW, Outland is one of my favorite scifi pics, highly underrated.  Cool

I may have 'bad' news in the offing...

This is not in any way related to recent occurrences in the Portrayal section, but it could potentially have a great effect on them on my end of things.  My doctor and I will be 'dicussing treatment' today (all very sudden, following labwork yesterday Huh).

It occurs to me that it could all fall out that I will not be able to continue this or the other RPs I am involved with; I will continue as long as I can, but if surgery or other extreme treatment is called for I will have to either take a break or discontinue altogether. Only time will tell. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this might cause to anyone.

No apologies of any kind necessary, Mr. Bailey, I went through the same thing in June-August of this year.  We'll just have to try and hold off the Zulus until you return... Very Best, Theo

LOL Theo. Its a good thing my doc is so conscientious. The stuff below might sound like a rant, but it's actually in praise of my doctor, rather than a complaint.

Turns out its not surgery, not intensive insulin therapy (yet), but rather
1. Catastrophically too much fat (triglycerides)-stop eating fatty things, low-cal diet
2. bad sugar control - not so many carbs, etc.
3. for one and 2, see a dietician and follow the instructions assiduously.

Now: Here's the really odd part. You know how weight-loss people tell you to drink water when you're hungry, to take up space and such?? Well, it seems I took that a little too far. The doctor said my my Sodium was dangerously low; in essence, I had been drinking so much water that I had washed all of the salt from my system! It's actually more complex than that, but the low sodium result still works out the same, so number four is still:
4. Eat More Salt ... (No, I'm not kidding).

(it should be mentioned that I used to consume three sixpacks of cokes per day; my intake of water was partly to combat the cravings for diet colas. And they say they're not addictive...)

So...I suppose that I'm back, but I''m also to get much more exercise, so maybe I won't have as much time...have to see...

Take good care of yourself, sir.  Jump in when you're feeling up to it, maybe after a 3-mile daily walk!  Wink  Very Best, Theo.

Alexis, I ran across this while doing laboratory inspections (went up to the lab, but saw nothing on the slab... Wink) and thought of your character:

New design art from the graving yard for the Widow's Son:

I like the features shown on this one - the rough angularity of the forward plating, separate drive section aft of the flying bridge, the glow of the primary weapon barrel at the bow, the weapons blisters along the ventral length, aetherwave and radiograph antennae protruding forward, etc.

My thinking on the drive mechanics is that Alexis' resonance technology is being used to generate broadly-cast "solar sails" made of wave energy, which pull the ship along at greatly increased speed but with concomitantly far greater complexity and variability in its engineering and handling - but then, that was half the drama of Star Trek, waiting for the engines to blow up...  Wink

Interesting, Theo. So is that the new configuration for the 'W'?

I guess we must be waiting for someone to post; I'm not sure where the plot is supposed to go from the current point...

Not bad, had stomach flu last week (I guess I'm just a problem child, lol), no problem this week so far. Thanks for asking.

Concerts coming up tomorrow night and thursday night. for some reason, they want more flute and fife and less banjo.

They didn't say anything about how much cowbell... Cheesy

Glad to hear you're doing alright. Smiley

I like the new pic, BTW. Almost exactly how I imagined the ship, based on the other pictures and descriptions so far.

Sorry I haven't been posting much recently, I've had a lot of distractions lately and haven't been able to get on the forum as often as I'd like. Tongue
