This is just the fairing for my upcoming steampunk Vespa. I've done similar woodgraining on the cowls and topcase, but am still airbrushing on those bits. More info about the project here.

That wood grain effect is brilliant, like everybody else, I can't wait to see how the finished moped will look.

Thanks everyone for your kind words. The working title for the scoot has been the Brazen Filly for the last month or so. My partner has expressed misgivings as to how fitting that name will be to the scooter. I have been trying to come up with a more descriptive name... something along the lines of Datamancer's Nagy Magical-Movable-Type Pixello-Dynamotronic Computational Engine™. So far the best I've been able to come up with is Dr. Apelles' Electro-Mechanized Automated Velocipedic Chariot™. Any suggestions on a better name?

Due to my interest in the 60's mod culture, I've grown to really like vespas (I'm thinking of getting one myself, any suggestions?), so I'm very interested to see how this baby turns out. Good luck!

Eleanor. an I like Beatrice, such a ride shouldn't be bogged down by an overly elaborate name, but rather a more effectionate one.

Eleanor.
Hmmm... After Eleanor of Aquitaine, perhaps? Hmmm... that sounds quite... civilized. Perhaps I could do a still of Katherine Hepburn in the Lion in Winter, only painted to look like a much younger Miss Hepburn, on the leg-shield with the name... There's definitely a synergy to naming a noble steed in honor of the lady who gave us the cult of courtly love. That and I've always been fascinated with Plantangent England, William Marshal, and the concepts of chivalry. (Not to mistake the complimentary ettiquettes of chivalry and courtly love, which is frequently done in common usage.) Herr Von Slatt, I believe we have a winner.
