Booked myself a ticket - there may well be a "+2" element, as I'm coming along with Dr When and the Good Nursie, but I shall attempt to get them signed up as well.

I've booked my ticket, it is a pleasantly easy system to book compared to so many other aether ticket-booking systems.

A useful system where there is limited number of spaces and justifies booking a function room.

A snag on the pocket cinema front I need a connector and made the mistake of going into Maplin's on a Sunday when they only have customerphobic staff in, all their 'expert' was interested in was getting rid of me as soon as possible.

Well, I regret that I shall be unable to attend this most excellent gathering, due to other, rather mundane proceedings. However, I would like to take the opportunity to wish Lady Elsie many happy returns for the day and I hope she has a rollicking good time!

Best wishes, Ffitz.

Countess Cyanide and myself would dearly love to attend Lady Elsie's birthday bash but sadly circumstances, finances and time off work all dictate otherwise. But we'd like to take this opportunity to wish Lady E a very, very happy birthday and I'm sure all those of you attending will have a hoot 'n' a half on Saturday.

Tickets booked. If only everything on the 'net were that prompt & simple...

I've put down for 2 tickets, although the Significant Other will be detained at his Employer's Leisure, my good friend Emma (who joined us for the Severn Valley Railway expedition) will be joining us. This means it will be the first night out together, unaccompanied by our respective partners, in years.

CAKE UPDATE.

It has now been decided there will be a large chocolate cake, and a selection of cup cakes, mini coffee cakes and mini mamalade tea loaves. This is just for starters. So come and eat cake.

Will the Birthday Cake have the correct number of candles on it, or will that constitute too great a fire risk.

Sorry! Totally uncalled for!

I was standing by with fire blanket, extinguishers, thermal suit, breathing apparatus and 5 ton pump.  Even so H&S thought it was too much of a risk so we are going to have to forgo candles.
 Sad

Here's a thought.

Since the event is taking place in a venue called 'The Ropewalk,' would it be appropriate to bring along a bit of Knot tying kit to have a little session of practical and decorative knot work? I could throw some stuff together.

I don't think that tying the heroine to the rails at New Street would go down too well with i) the assembled throng or ii) the Rozzers...

Dear Dr Quack,

If you are bringing some rope, do you intend to tie us up in knots with one of your humorous ditties?
