The Maharaja's Clock Collection

I just returned from a trip to India. While there I visited the Umaid Bhawan Palace, home to the Maharajas of Jodhpur and also a luxury hotel. The previous Maharaja had a very entertaining clock collection, some of which I thought the readers here might enjoy.

Great pictures! I love the little ship clock, and the shots of the architecture (yes I looked through all your pictures!) His car looks fun too. Yay train platforms. And airports. And any other place where public transportation leaves you stranded for hours on end! Did you meet any interesting people on the platform?

Not on the platform, but I was traveling as an accessory on my husband's business trip I met a lot of interesting people as we toured factories.

Those are some clocks, all right. When I looked at the tower-shaped clock, I confess that my first thought was "clockwork Dalek!"
