I know how it sounds, but as a novice novelist, I believe that Steampunk Erotica could contain some truly beautiful moments and descriptions. WIth that said, am I just unable to locate it, or does it even exist?

Check in the Textual section. I believe there was something about a corset being undone in there...

Think there's a self-published volume of the stuff out there.
And if you're intrigued by the concept of steampunk erotica, I believe there are a number of published novelist hard at work producing steampunk romance novels on the steamy (hur-hur, I made a pun) side of things.

Tee-hee, funny you should ask. Yes, steampunk erotica does exist. I am an unpublished author currently hard at work on a steampunk novel. Actually, I am currently working on one "steamy" novelette, one novella, and a novel. (Along with a short non-steamy steampunk story and another non-steamy steampunk novelette...and a partridge in pear tree!) A number of small publishers who specialize in erotica have open calls for steampunk submissions right now, including: *Lyrical Press (full-length steampunk romantic/erotic steampunk novels) *Phaze Books (male/male and male/male/female romantic/erotic steampunk novelettes) *Samhain Publishing (erotic and romantic steampunk novellas) I was actually going to start a thread questioning this sudden explosion in interest for steampunk erotica. Hey, I'm not complaining -- I write erotic romances and I love steampunk. Works for me. :) Oh! And check out http://www.steamypunk.net/If you are interested in "breaking into" the publishing industry, I'd heartily suggest submitting something for one of these open calls. Publishers are more likely to accept something for an open call, and once you are published with them, they are more likely to publish you again -- and once you are published with one publisher, you are more likely to get something published with someone else. Also, Lyrical Press also publishes non-erotic content, just FYI. Hope that helps! Cheers!

http://ageofsteam.wordpress.com/That writer specializes in Steampunk with a focus on romance. I know several romance writers who are moving out of Urban Fantasy to steampunk because the Urban field is too crowded now and Steampunk is on the rise at the publishing houses.

Well! THis certainly has been an informative thread! I thank you, ladies and gents, for erotica combines the sensuality of romance and the creativity of vernacular versatility!

If you're interested in writing Steampunk Romance, a bb called Romance Divas recently hosted a workshop on the topic. It's in the forum archives now. I'm writing a Steampunk Romance at the moment, myself.

An interesting thread. I have the notes for a steampunk erotica novel. It might also be worthwhile approaching the good e-publishers like - http://www.liquidsilverbooks.com/and- http://www.loose-id.com/

erm, I did write a short story something once (perhaps a bit too indelicate to be termed 'erotica') set in a Victorian setting, but modesty (perhaps talent as well) prevents posting a link. Unless someone wants it...

I'd love to have a go at writing steampunk erotica, but it would just be filth dotted with machinery puns and terrible faux Victorian names..... Things like Sir Arnold Rogermelightly, Madame Scarlett-Lovepump and so on. I can't do serious erotica!

I've read worse -- and they were taking themselves seriously! I keep thinking of those Victorian machines to cure 'hysteria.'
