sorry folks I missed you, as I warned in prior message, I was late (3:15pm) and then trying to find a place to park a 23ft long Dodge Maxivan in that area was impossiible.... need shrink ray then i could put it in my pocket..... hopefully next meet will have more parking and I will be able to get an earlier start from Aberdeen, unless someone could check for DC Metro railstation in the near by area. as then i could leave van at park and ride and not have to brave the traffic (shudders at the memory of traffic densitys). My hat is off to all who commute into DC on a regular basis. too much for this boy from New Mexico. Miles (a sailor)Martin

Dude, Gabrial, I just realized why your new profile shot keeps hitting me at a funny angle: the other person I talk to online with a Bengal tiger is short, solidly built, Native American, pagan, lesbian, dominant, fetish teacher and whip maker. She rules, y'all would totally get along. Unless she decided to gut you like a fish, but she puts up with me, so hay, your chances are good.
Sorry, totally off topic and random.

I TRIED to make it to tea! I've never driven from my place to Georgetown before, and more and more I find Google Maps unreliable. Trying to get to Hathoway's house? Failure. Trying to get to my friend's house in Silver Spring? Failure. Trying to get to Georgetown...failure. Got all lost and then ran out of time...even got to my ma's house much later than I would have liked.
>sigh< I'll figure it out next time, I hope.
Hathoway: Any time this week best to swing by? Drop off thine lady's plaid, and just hang out a bit? Holla.

I like lesbians, and I like gutting people like fish, so we'd have lots to talk about! This weekend is outs for me, Winterfell, as is anything before September 7th. I'm headed out of town and will not be back until after that. But don't you guys dare wait for me! I can come out and party another weekend, and when I get back I'll even have a car!

So, quick question.
I know that there are several very good leather suppliers on ebay and the like, but is there a shot in the DC/surrounding areas where I could physically go and look at hides and supplies? I'm a tactile guy, and like to look before I buy.

Well, I'm off my job at the Spy Museum at 5pm most Saturday's and my wife works until 10pm, so perhaps sometime inbetwixt those hours I might be able to meet up (if anyone is doing anything). But this Saturday is out, I'm dogsitting and the owner is coming to collect his pooch.

I'll be at Dragon*Con that weekend, so I'm afraid I am not the one to specifically ask.. inquire of the good Major and/or the good Vagabond..

Hi all,
I'll be out of town for most of the weekend, but Friday night Sarah & I will be goint to Jimi Valentines in DC for the Wasteland Goth/ Deathrock dance night there. Its Sarahs Birthday and she wanted to spend it there, and they are a Steampunk friendly crowd. Anyone is welcome to come, of course. Z, if you can make it, you could just bring her shirt there, otherwise you could stop by just about any weeknight.
As far as group events go, i think the next big thing on the map is the Autumn Stroll at the National Arboretum on Sept. 25th. Its a lovely place to visit, with a classical style greek temple/ ruins area that is awesome for pics, and it would just be a really fun time regardless. Its outdoors, so maybe we could make a picnic out of it? Maybe its just my stomach talking here... Nordic can probably give some more details on this...
As far as Labor day wknd goes, i may be going to the Horror Find convention in Gettysburg. We were planning to spend Sat. at the con and Sunday in the town of Gettysburg... any takers for that??

Tea Party at the Autumn Stroll is ON, we'll get a headcount as we get closer to the date and provide more details also. Just to get an idea, expect several different teas and some light fare.

hope to make it on the 25th sept. shall do my best to make it.
I was struck rather speachless at the ticket price at the Md Renfest 18 bucks struck me as a bit high untill i realized all the players are paid not just getting by on tips, that made the entry fee much easer to accept. still only going to be able to afford to go one more time though . I will let you all know what the day I'm going at least a week in advance this time,if any one would like a ride. this time i will be driving my van and capacity is me plus up to seven others, with room for a stroller or lil rascal powerchair. if a powerchair needs transported let me know three days in advance so i can build a ramp to load it. otherwise the space (4ft*4ft*5ft) is avalable for other cargo. pity no in and out privaleges at the rennfest, it would have been nice labor day to drop my back pack off in my truck.
