Steampunks needed to dress up and show off at the Museum of the History of Science, Oxford, THIS SATURDAY (30th January). The Museum is hosting 'Steampunk Live Manikins / Steampunk Live Mannequins' from 2 to 5 pm. It is billed as 'An afternoon celebrating Steampunk fashion, ornament and jewellery, displayed by live mannequins in the Museum galleries'. Now all we need is the live Mannequins - everyone is welcome to join in!
Come dressed in as demonstrative a steampunk style as you dare, stand and walk around, posing whenever possible, and generally being observed and admired. If you sign up for 10 minutes on 'the plinth', you will be photographed and added to a web slide-show that will become part of the permanent on-line legacy of the now-famous Steampunk Exhibition. You could even take a turn on 'the catwalk'.
