Just like the topic message suggests, what kind of steampunk jewelry do you like(if you like it at all).

I can tell you I DO NOT like the jewelry that looks like some one just pulled the watch components from a case and glued it to a ring/pendant/earrings...

I mean really? Do you not have a shred of creativity in your soul?

This stuff however --> http://aranwen.deviantart.com/gallery/  is far more inspired and likable.

And the Gods of the Copybook Headings limped up to explain it once more."~Kipling; 1919

I agree with Polaris. Watch movements--SO MANY watch movements! I suppose it's blasphemous to say so, but I've never found them to be terribly interesting or attractive. Even with little rhinestones stuck on. Unless they're made with the aesthetics of the bare movement in mind from the start, like these lovely things, well...it's a bit like they're slouching around with no clothes on. And why would one do that, when there are so many charming coats a watch movement could wear?

Enough ranting on that subject, though.

I tend to like big, striking, ornate pieces. I also tend to like more color than is the norm--enameled metal, cloisonne, clusters of contrasting beads, that sort of thing. Also, to return to the topic of little rhinestones stuck on things, I DO like that, very much, but...oh goodness, use a setting please. Or any sort of treatment that makes the rhinestone look less like a sparkly pimple.

I agree with Polaris. I'm more of a Neo-Victorian, so like the more traditional style Victorian jewellery.
