Hello everyone,

Can anyone tell me where does one buy replica Gramophone horns please? I am aware of several companies in India manufacturing them, but am a bit wary of dealing direct.

Cheers,
Herr Orgel Fuhrer.

I have contacts in India but the key question they will ask is how many you want.  If it's just a handful you won't get anyone interested but if you want a reasonable number then I can try to sort a producer for you.

If you only need a handful you may be better off having them made here in the UK.

PM me.

I have seen antique Gramophone horns
going for as much as $300.00.

If you just need one horn for a Very
Special Project, you might consider
cannabilizing the Gramophone replica
offered by Wild Orchid, currently on
sale at a reduced price.

You can get a very reasonably priced replica gramophone here:  http://www.shoppingbank.com/sb/pia/d/windup+gramophone+with+horn/pid/8558967

I think it's somewhere in the region of £100-£110 delivered.

Hmm. Most interesting, chaps.

I just want one for my Dyson plasma cannon. I considered sawing the bell of an old broken trombone we have, but it's a bit on the small side! Buying a beautiful replica gramophone seems terribly decadent. I have a couple already.

Maybe a group of us should have a couple each from the manufacturers to make it worth their while. Anyone else interested?

Cheers,
