Hooray! I've convinced a friend to attend BabelCon with me. She dresses a bit more Lolita than steampunk but she'll be attending the meetup with me.
I'd also like to get a group of Brass Goggles people to meet up at MobiCon in May as well.

I heard some very good things about CoastCon from my friends who went. Glad to see it doing well, and I'm glad you had a good time, Sir Robert! So...who's definitely in for the BabelCon meetup? I have a couple of NOLA friends who will be attending (and dressed to the nines) with me. What time shall we be meeting, and where? I was thinking in the main lobby. |

I created another thread about the meetup here. No definite place or time has been set. I was thinking of just making it simple - everyone meet in the lobby around 1pm on Saturday. I don't know the con hotel layout so I can't think of another place to meet.  I'm sure whatever you have will be just fine! My ensemble will be kind of low-key. I'm saving the REALLY good stuff for MobiCon in May.  |

My pictures from BabelCon are here. The con was fun, it was a great day, and I'm very glad to have met both dabreegster, Sir Robert, and his lovely lady friend! (dabreegster, I wish you could have attended lunch with us, it was a grand time!) So what's the next convention coming up? I know of MobiCon - that's the one in Mobile, May 14-16. I usually attend every year, and it's a really good convention. There's also MechaCon in New Orleans, July 16-18. Might want to pull out your lightweight outfits for that one, since it's in the dead of summer! Any other get-togethers going on? |

Sir Robert and Mary Elise were very happy to have had lunch with you three ladies as well, we must do it again! This was May Elise's first ever introduction to Steampunks and you were wonderful as Representatives of the species. I did not get to talk about your outfit Sevenlies but the waist pouches were very well done indeed.
As for Debreegster, we were saying between ourselves today that he did miss out on much fun over lunch.
