Hello ladies and gentlemen's.
I'm congratulated to present an special meeting in the 1888's Barcelona. It will be the next 7th February, at 10 o'clock of mourning -if not, it will be at 11 o'clock.
In 1888 there was an Universal Exposition in Barcelona. For this evenement, a new place was remodelated: the Parc of Ciutadella.
As I think it's so long all the history of the zone were was built, but I resum.
There are a Triomph Arch which welcome the visitor... Inside, you can see some builts like the presents Geology and Zoology -with old collections of dissected animals- Museums in neogothic and classical styles, an "victorian style" greenhouse, and an "ombraculum" -something similar as a greenhouse-, all from 1888, and Universal Scientific Exposition. In this Exposition was presented the Eiffel Tower project, for example.
But the Park is more big. There are an artificial waterhouse, the Catalonian Parlament, and all is an special modernist-victorian classical garden in Barcelona. Each corner is special, like an arbor. It's a big park.
The planning of the day:
-Meeting between the spanish steampunkers
-Visit to the Museums. It's free
-Lunch. We are working in an special restaurant, in a cheap menu -10/12 €
-Afternoon activities -plays, stories, visiting all park.
All the day we will taking photos.
If you can and want a new experience in steampunk, I think it's a good chance, and more, you can know more about the science history ^^
