Even 110 years later, these two women are instantly recognizable as New Yorkers.
You would have no problem finding that same expression of hostile aloofness on the streets of Manhattan today.

Shorpy has eaten away days and days of my time. I have a 1.2 gigabyte folder filled with all the images, and have them constantly rotating as my desktop background Smiley
