(Keep in mind reading this I have almost no experience crafting these sorts of things  Lips sealed )I'm a beginner here and need some advice from you veterans of the craft  Smiley While I see many threads on how to make goggles I don't see many on the kind i'd like. Most are pretty plain separated eye pieces while I was thinking more like this

(silly picture I know Roll Eyes )
or flip-ups like this

And while i'd love some suggestions for awesome looking separated eye ones this is what i'm most intrested in. I'd like to keep everything as cheap as possible but am willing to pay a lot if I get things I can re-use often.  I was just wondering how to go about making these particular kinds and what I would need. Also, I love different irises and effects and am willing to go the extra mile for them. So I ask of you all to lend out your great talents to a humble newbie of the art  Smiley

Those flip-ups are fairly standard gas-welding goggles which should run you less than $10, and possibly less than $5 if you know where to look. Rather than trying to replicate them from scratch, you'd probably be better off buying a pair and disassembling them to modify.

The others (on the gargoyle) are a little harder to find, but they've shown up in the Forums a number of times, so I'm sure they're available. Again, probably cheaper to buy than to scratchbuild, although it might be possible if you are particularly handy.

While I wouldn't mind buying them if it came to that but i'd really want to try to make a pair of my own. Dose anyone happen to know where I could get a pair like on the gargoyle?

eBay, search: Aviator goggles.

Try to get a nice old pair, they're more expensive but more brilliant Wink
