Not sure where to post this, so I figured I'd start here and the mods can move it where they please... Wink

Just in time for the holidays, Dieselpunks.org has just opened a cool online store! Dieselpunk and steampunk books, clothing, music, gifts and a LOT more! (Seriously, I'm impressed, and I'm not easily impressed.) Check it out!

A triangular masonic pocket watch, now that should turn some heads. Looks like a great collection they have there, makes me wish I had some money.

The Avalon 17 Jewel Mechanical Skeleton Silver-tone Pocket Watch makes me drool, but not much else actually. Then again, I only looked for about five minutes heh.

Nice. Move it to Trading, where it belongs.

You could phrase that a bit nicer.

Well, one would think that being here for 25+ hours would give a person a good idea of where certain threads belong. However, I do agree it could have been phrased better.

You could phrase that a bit nicer.

Buy it on eBay and you can get it for about a third of that price. I recognise that one.

Very nice...although I always pictured Diesel Punk to be more sort of Mad Max styling than 1920s - 1950s Art Deco era...then again I'm always seeing debates on what Diesel Punk actually is!

Dieselpunk is the same as steampunk in that regard. Just as there's both gilded age and post-apocalyptic steampunks, there's retro-futurist dieselpunk, with skyscrapers, art deco, big streamlined cars, zeppelins and rocketeers, swing and noir, and then there's post-atomic/dystopian dieselpunk, which includes both soviet collective/1984-stylisms and the Mad Max aesthetics.

Can we not turn this thread into another "what is DP?" debate, its clogging up an otherwise good thread.

Alright alright, keep yer hat on...that was just my take on Diesel Punk, obviously it seems that I was referring to post-atomic/dystopian dieselpunk.

Agreed, though that is a question for a Dieselpunk forum.

That store is a most excellent find! Thankyou for sharing... (though anything selling stuff should indeed probably be in trading. ; )     )

I'd like to go on record and state that we (Dieselpunks.org) do not set the price of the items in the store.  We simply make a small commission (under 5%) for referring people to the items, which does not affect the original price of the item at all.

Some are hella-expensive and included solely because they are quality pieces belonging of the genre (like the Retrowerk watch under Dieselpunk Fashion), and some are ridiculously inexpensive, like $3 Art Deco posters and artwork.

All proceeds from the store go directly towards reducing the website's hosting fees and maintaining any contests or plans for expansion in the future.

Cheers!
