Frost on the boiler.
Don't fire it up too quickly,
or *BOOM*-blown to bits!

Affixed to his hat
A small brass zeppelin pin.

Well done Sergeant Major! A splendid piece of verse.

Can we have a translation please Kurohone. Is it English Haiku or strict Japanese Haiku?

A fine verse, Sir Poiselamppe. May I suggest "The dodo is not extinct"?

I study the structure -
Form, position and purpose.
One more screw needed.

Oh, that's Meiji! (Duh!) It makes much more sense now. I like that little detail.
