Hi folks,
I'm the developer of a Steampunk strategy game and is currently unnamed. The game itself is a turn based strategy roguelike (meaning it's mainly ASCII based) with gameplay similar to XCom or UFO:Enemy Unknown (Rebelstar etc). After some months in development I realised yet another plain old marines vs aliens game just wasn't good enough. As a huge comic fan I have a great fondnes for Steampunk in general but wouldn't say I'm a fanatic. 2000AD has been running some great strips by Ian Edgington (Stickleback, Ampney Crucias) and Pat Mills (Defoe) that have swayed me to make my game Steampunk. This also makes it easier to develop some interesting storylines and gives me the chance to make some fantastic weaponary and enemies.

Basically, you're a member of Her Majesty's Bureau of Quite Unusual Events, called to investigate an occurrance in rural england. There you discover strange beasts that appear to be somewhat mechanoid yet lizard like in nature. So begins a series of battles with an increasingly sophisticated foe that slowly uncovers a plot to destroy London.

Sound good? Well this game needs a suitably Steampunk name and I'd like to ask the forum for suggestions. At the moment I'm calling it "Traction Edge" which vaguely describes a certain plot device within the story.

If the "Traction Edge" is a piece of mysterious technology that the lizard-bot things depend on or whatnot, then that would be a great name.  Otherwise, you might want to explore other options.
