We doubled our server capacity today, so the blank pages and crashes should be held at bay once again.  My thanks to A2Hosting for helping me understand pricing options, and acting quickly once I'd selected a plan. Those guys rock.

I also pruned Off-Topic of any non-sticky posts that weren't in use for over 90 days.  The saved posts were moved into a new sub-board of Off-Topic, called the "Off-Topic Historical Society".  No one can post in topics there (they're all locked), but really good OT threads are moved there for preservation, if they don't fit into one of the on-topic boards.

The upgrade to move to this hosting level was $1200, but thanks to previous generosity from Roll of Honour members and many anonymous donors, our accounts were able to cover all but $160. With that cost, we can host at current levels for 3 years. Thanks to everyone who contributed!

Since so many people have asked, I have finally set up a PayPal donation page.  You can learn about financially supporting Brass Goggles here: Support Brass Goggles.  Whether or not you donate, your contributions in terms of time and participation in our community are most welcome! Thanks so much for continuing to make Brass Goggles a great place for Steampunk!

Also, let's hear it for our Moderators and Governors who put in a lot of "overtime" to answer questions and keep the site spam-free; these folks all work for free, so let's show 'em some love!

Yeah.  I got a lawyer to tell me what I had to do in order to make it sane, tax-wise.

The wonderful thing about lawyers is that lawyers are wonderful things; their heads are made out of bullsh*t, their bottoms are made out of bling!

As you wish; I will do my best to exclude you. If I forget and I do accidentally include you, just drop me a PM and I'll make sure you disappear. :-)

I always suspected the mods and admins had access to BG's advanced secret weaponry stores, in this case, death rays to make troublesome members disappear.  markf
