This seems to be proving very popular with the general Internet hordes and your site has slowed down to a trickle but it is well worth the wait!! A triumph!! Now I wonder what entertainment you could be summoning forth onto that monitor - Kinky Corsets Weekly dot com perhaps? Ah no, with a bit of a squint one can see you are a man of impeccable taste Wink

I think it is the controls I love the most, although I am impressed by the marble effect you have there. I have a couple of marble-topped Victorian washstands and you really can't tell the different from the pictures.

I had to repost on this after seeing the article. I am simply stunned about how you accomplished everything! The painted parts look like real brass, the marble look like real marble (even close up!) So I am doubly impressed!

I stumbled across the mod before the thread; but the design is absolutely beautiful. The switches for the control buttons are absolutely glorious - Though I suppose one must memorize the order in which the buttons are lain out on the monitor to be able to use it efficiently. I've long dreamt of giving my computer a look other than a simple modern look, and your designs - for both the keyboard and the monitor - are almost perfect representations of what I'd imagined a SP telecalculograph would look like. Simply stunning.

Here's a sneak peek for my Brass Goggles friends . . .

The full article will go up later tonight so I'd appreciate it if no one posts this pic anywhere else until then.

Cheers!

Jake.

I saw it on Boing Boing, and I successfully submitted it to BanniNation.com.

Indeed a master work, sir, and I am in awe of your handiwork, in this as in your previous labours. I trust, however, that you will not consider me remiss if I offer a minor suggestion - that the exposed screw-heads be adjusted such that they all be aligned in the same orientation - for I feel that the overall appearance would thus be even further improved.

Simply stunning.  There are no words in all my vocabulary, which prior to this event I had thought vast, to describe just how lovely and inspired that is.

Bravo!

I wonder what my lady wife would say were I to make similar modifications to our display . . . .

I'm utterly speechless, I wish I had half the talent you have.

In the picture before all the beauty shots, it looks like you have a pair of square blue glasses on the base. Where did you get those, I've been looking for a pair like that with red lenses for a long time now. Thanks.
