Hi Guys

I really ought to have posted this earlier - D'OH!

At exactly 7.20pm GMT tonight Chandy and I (Joel) will be performing a little live set and interview on BBC Radio Cambridge, we're playing stripped down versions of two songs from the album In the City of Dreadful Night - Sweet Dreams and Snow Song.

You can log on here

http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/cambridgeshire/hi/

I'm not sure if you can listen to this outside UK? Maybe someone can offer a solution?

Thanks

Joel

We got it in there - infact we spent most of the time talking about steampunk, the presenter was fascinated by it!

Got a little plug in for you - Chandy offered to take the presenter out to see Ghostfire.

Stupid freezing weather and no air conditioned BOILING studio... one string went miles out of tune in the 3 mins between tuning it and playing live... I had to tune it on air mid song (just guitar and vocal)- it was painfull I think we got away with it... but that's never happened before... *shudders at memory*

Well done guys.  You came across very well indeed and you certainly seemed to have hooked Sue Marchant  (the presenter).

A lovely job of promoting steampunk (managed a namecheck on Brassgoggles too Chandy!)  Suitably restrained yet wholly intriguing - see you are steampunks you just didn't realise it!!!

Congratulations.

For folks who missed it you can find Sue Marchants  show on the BBCi player at

Ah lovely , thanks Major!

Gawd - that tuning malarky was actually quite well disguised, I shall feel less bad about it...

Sues always been very supportive to us - it's nice to have that in our home town.

I wish we had some steampunks in Cambridge to come out tonight to our Xmas party Sad

Ah, Cambridge! Last time I was there I was performing at the University Freshers mingle...a decade ago.

Wish we could come, but Cambridge is a long way to go for us Londoners, and we are busy editing a little music video as well. All the best though, have a wonderful party!

You are most welcome old chap.  Joel and Chandy are on about 24 minutes in.

I have exchanged emails with the presenter (it didn't hurt that I am doing some stuff on Radio Northants tommorrow anyway although not Steampunk)

She is very keen on steampunk, has been looking around the web and would like to feature more.  She particularly asked for a copy of "The Rock Waltz" to play so how are you fixed Andii?

Congratulations once again to Sunday Driver.  First class guys, first class.

"The Last Steampunk Waltz" is nearing completion. I have a third mix to listen to tonight. Hopefully we'll be done by Wednesday at the very latest.

Excellent work all - Major nice networking !

Andi - we'd love to gig with you in Cambridge - lets have a chat about it on Monday... we won't be going back there for a while... prob April 2010 ... but we should do it, it was so nice playing our home venue again (the portland arms) last night... it's such a relaxing vibe after all the intensity of some of what we've been doing this year! Got to experiment with the set order - tried some controversial changes that were mostly bad ideas! But that's the great thing about home init?!

Right then - a chat on Monday is most definitely in order. Preferably over a pint of foaming ale!

Indeed - we've dubbed up the regency dance number Allegra asked us to play - it actually sounds quite cool.... I hope they remember the dance!
