I've seen people wearing these, but I haven't been able to figure it out myself yet.  Most of the goggle how-tos I've seen (and searched for here in the forum) won't work for what I want.

I always have a pair of sunglasses perched on top of my head.  So for my costume, it seems natural to replace them with a pair of goggles.  But I'd like them to have ear pieces instead of a band.

I have a pair of sunglasses that I plan to take apart to use for the sides, and I was thinking of using some leather for the sides.  But I can't figure out how to make the lenses.  I'm on the hunt for a pair of sunglasses with non-curved large lenses to take out for the glass.  And I have these wonderful filigree circles that are meant for earrings that will be perfect for the frame.  But I can't figure out how to put them together.  It seems like I need something that will make some sort of cup to drop the circles into and glue in place.

Any ideas?  Or links to tutorials on how to make a similar style of goggles?

Three words; Wilson welding goggles Smiley

They are the same kind worn by Dr Steel

They have arms that go over your ears, not a strap, round dark lenses, metal side peices (in mesh or grating) pretty much exactly what you want I think Grin

P.S. And one more good image of them!

Those are pretty darn close, but a quick Google search didn't help.  Were they purchased, or is there a tutorial somewhere? REVISED- Nevermind, I see where you have to hunt ebay for them.  I'd rather make my own, but in a similar style.

And I'm still looking through ideas, and I realized that I should clarify.  I'm hoping to fit the lenses over existing sunglasses as opposed to just using the arms, because I don't see how I would do the nose piece otherwise.  I figure if the nose was just leather, they would just fall down.
